- Live Auction: Players are put on the auction block by commissioner and team owners. Bids are placed in real time for everyone to see.
- Live Auction: Bids start and continue until no more bidding is going on. When the bidding slows the auctioneer begins saying going once, going twice, and on GONE! the player is added to the winning high bidders roster.

- E-mail Auction: During the initial phase of the auction the commissioner and the team owners may place players up for auction. There will be a time limit set for bidding on players. At the end of that time all players will be award to the high bidders and placed on their roster.
- E-mail Auction: Each franchise owner will be given $320.00 fanatic dollars to purchase their initial roster. During the initial auction you must purchase enough players at each position to field a legal lineup. Nine players are required to field a legal lineup. (1QB, 1PK, 1TEAM DEF, 6 Combination of RB,WR,TE). Eighteen (18) players is the maximum number of players allowed on any roster. See legal lineups under Lineup Information.
- All rosters will be filled with the nine (9) required players in the initial phase of the auction (live or e-mail)
- Auctions 2nd year and following: All are e-mail.
- Auction Keeper Players: Each team owner will be allowed to select 0, 1, 2, or 3 keepers from the previous season (2008).
- Value of Player(s) kept: FanaticFantasyFootball.com Owners will rank players from the previous year (2008) in tiers. Depending on the tier the player is place in, the tier dollar amount will be added to the previous years purchase price and that will be deducted from your new season auction money to start the new season (2009) bidding.
- Example: Year one you draft Adrian Peterson RB (MN) and pay $45.00 for him. For year two Adrian Peterson is listed as a tier one RB. If tier one players are determined to have an added value of $5.00 then if you keep Adrian Peterson it will cost you $50.00 off the top of your $320.00 leaving you with $270.00 to start out with in 2009.
- Example 2: If you purchased a player in 2008 for $10.00 (Ryan Grant RB) and he is determined to be a tier 2 RB and tier two players are valued at $4.00 added value then he will cost you $14.00 in 2009.
- All values used here are for example purposes only and should not be taken as what the actual added value prices will be when published.
- Tier rankings and added value amounts will be e-mailed to all team owners in plenty of time to allow them to determine which players they want to keep.
- If no keepers are designated by the team owner prior to the final date and time to make such selection the commissioner will assume you don't want to keep any player from the previous season (2008) and return unprotected players to the waiver/free-agent pool making them available for auction during the new year 2009.

Roster Information
- Each franchise owner may have up to and including 18 players on their roster.
- During regular season play weeks 1-13 each owner must maintain enough players at each position (QB,RB,WR,PK,TE,TEAM DEF) to submit a legal lineup. See legal lineup under Lineup Information.
- During playoff season weeks 14-16 each owner must maintain enough players at each position (QB,RB,WR,PK,TE,TEAM DEF) to submit a legal lineup. See legal lineup under Lineup Information.
- A legal lineup will consist of (1)QB, (1)TEAM DEF, (1)PK, ((6)RB/WR/TE (combinations)), Total=9 players: See legal combinations under Lineup Information.
- Business season: You will have from the completion of the last fantasy playoff game of the current season until March 30th at (11:59 p.m. ET / 8:59 p.m. PT) of new season (2009) to trim your rosters.
- Each franchise owner may keep up to and including three (3) players...(keepers)on their roster.
- Players not designated as (keepers) go back into the rookie/free-agent pool and are eligible for the new auction.
- If you do not designate keepers by the deadline time the commissioner will assume you do not want to keep any players on your current roster. Commissioner will return all players on your roster back to the rookie/free-agent pool and they will be eligable to be auctioned.
- How do we determine the amount of fanatic dollars to be deducted from your beginning auction funds the next year for the players kept from the previous year?
- At the end of the just finished season (2008) we will rank all the players (QB,RB,WR,TE,PK,DEF) into various tiers.
- For the new season (2009) you will be charged the amount you paid in 2008 for the player you kept + the dollar amount determined by his tier ranking.
- Example: You purchase a RB for $50.00 in 2008. If that RB is a #1 tier ($5.00 added value) RB (L. Tomlinson for example) you will be charged $55.00 for him in 2009, thereby reducing your beginning 2009 auction money by $55.00 to start. If your $50.00 RB ends up in tier #3 he will cost you $53.00 for the new season, thereby reducing your starting auction money by $53.00.
- Everyone in the league will receive our player rankings in plenty of time to see how much each player will cost so they can make a decision as to whether they want to keep the player or not. Three players is the maximum number you can keep. Their total value will be deducted from your new year auction funds. We will rank as many tiers of players as necessary to determine the added value for the next year. The values used in this example are not necessarily the values we will use the following year. They are for example use only.
